How it works

Mow. Roll two or three passes. Dump the basket.

01

Mow first, then roll

The foam roller lifts goat heads and sand burrs that are already on the ground. It will not pull green burrs still attached to the plant, so cut or mow first and let the seed drop.

02

Push it like a mower, no bending

The 18 inch roller is half again as wide as the original 12 inch, so you cover the same yard in about a third fewer passes. On grass, plan on 2 to 3 passes over each patch; rake first if seed is buried deep in the turf.

03

Dump the basket, keep rolling

Burrs collect in the catch basket as you go. Empty it as it fills for the best pickup on the next pass.

04

Every burr you pull now is seed that never sprouts next spring

Burrs keep dropping seed until the first frost, and a single puncturevine plant can drop up to 5,000 seeds in one season. Clearing this season's crop before it sits through winter is how you get ahead of the problem instead of fighting it every summer.

What customers say

Real reviews from Push 2.0 XL buyers.

★★★★★

“Bought one for a half acre backyard in Arizona, overrun with goats heads. Clearing out the actual weeds, then started in with the Sticker Burr Roller. I filled front bucket after front bucket, I could measure it in pounds. It took longer than I thought, but I believe there were actual layers of these burrs. Finally, after maybe my 4th day, I actually started to roll and not gather any, the next day, my dog actually ventured out on the dirt with me. Pretty amazing!”

★★★★★

“Bought this for my dad for his birthday, because whenever he has visitors with dogs the dogs will only go to the bathroom on the patio because they know the yard is full of goat heads. He's been rolling daily and is just so impressed how much it picks up and how much he's been able to remove from the yard. He also is impressed with how well it is built and loves that he'll be able to pick up replacement parts in the future.”

“Bought for daughter’s San Jose, CA family. Backyard was full of sticker burrs hurting the barefoot grandkids feet. They tell me the roller works great and showed a picture of the full roller collection bin on delivery day. They are thrilled with it.”

Questions

Before you order.

Does it pick up goat heads?

Yes, once they have dropped to the ground. It will not strip green burrs still on the plant. Cut or mow first, then roll.

How is the 2.0 XL different from the 1.0 Classic?

The 2.0 XL's foam roller is 18 inches wide and 10 inches in diameter versus 12 by 6 on the Classic. More roller on the ground every revolution means more area covered per pass, so it clears the same yard in about a third fewer passes. Choose the XL for bigger yards or heavier infestations; the Classic is ideal for patios, driveways, and small yards.

What is in the complete kit, and is it worth it?

The kit is the same Push 2.0 XL plus a spare foam roller, three spare conveyer screens, the pitchfork blade attachment (it attaches to a pitchfork, which is not included), and the Permanent Removal Protocol guide. The foam roller and screens are wear parts, so the kit is the roller plus a season of replacements for about $83 more than the roller on its own. If you only want the machine, the roller on its own is the right choice.

What surfaces does it work on?

Hard-packed dirt, patios, gravel, driveways, and lawns. In grass, plan on multiple passes. It is light on purpose so it will not sink into sand or soft dirt; on grass or hard soil, strap ankle weights to the side bars for extra bite.

Is assembly required?

About 15 minutes, no tools. The step-by-step guide ships in the box and photo steps are at stickerburrroller.com/pages/assemble.

What wears out?

The 18 inch sleeved foam roller and the conveyer screen. Both are in our Replacement Parts collection, sized for the 2.0 XL, and the complete kit includes spares of each.

When will it ship?

Built to order in Hildale, Utah. Ships within 10 business days, then arrives in 1 to 5 business days anywhere in the US. Free shipping to all 50 states, and you get tracking by email the day it leaves the shop.
